  • Brisket is best reheated at 325°F. Set the oven to this temperature and let it heat up while you prepare your brisket. If there is still some fat on top of the brisket, gently spoon it over the meat side before re-placing it in the oven, face down on a new tray or baking sheet that has been lined with foil. This ensures that no drippings will leak onto the bottom of your oven and cause smoke. It also prevents any fat from rendering off during reheating and burning your pan or tray.

Now that’s easy. You can do this just about anywhere with any food really. If you have leftover chicken, use it for enchiladas, tacos or even a pot pie! Have leftover veggies? Gratin! Making pancakes? Add some chopped up fruit. The possibilities are endless.

In addition to using this delicious meat for Mexican dishes, I also used the brisket as a filling for homemade nachos. Follow these steps:

Chop up your favorite tortilla chips and place them on a pan Lay out your brisket slices evenly over the chips Spread cheese over top of the beef Season with spices of your choice Place under broiler until cheese melts/bubbles Done! You now have nachos ready to serve with all the toppings you enjoy. Enjoy these scrumptious nachos yourself or share them with family or friends.

Even though this was just a small drop in the bucket of leftover meat, I made sure to use every bit of it. Leftover brisket is perfect for breakfast food too!
